About
Saginaw Street Consignments turns other people’s merchandise into cash and provides a great place to shop and seek out such treasures. Owner April Ogg provides reused quality products at a great savings. “My customers are from all ages and all genders, I offer items in wide range of styles. I sell furniture, accessories and lighting that can be used in all interior design styles.”
Inspiration
April has always wanted to own a store like this, after 30 years of doing interior design she found that she loved replacing the old items with new items and wondered about the story of the lives of those items. April takes a moment to tell me about a wonderful vanity sitting behind me that served a woman from Detroit that was part of helping people traveling the underground railroad. “I like the story of where the items come from, meeting people and hearing about their history, I’ve always been intrigued about people’s history.”
Why Downtown Pontiac?
150 N. Saginaw was purchased by her parents back in 1961. April’s family history and her own love of interior design and vintage décor inspired her to open Saginaw Street Consignments.
