Author: Charlene Dwyer

Pontiac ArtJam is a Canvas Pontiac spin-off collaboration between Main Street Pontiac and the Pontiac Arts Commission featuring an in-person open air artist market, live musical performances, and a virtual concert on Friday, June 11 from 5 pm to 10 pm. Local Artists will line the streets of historic downtown Pontiac along Saginaw Street for the kick-off event of the new Social District “The Circuit”.  The Social District allows consumption of adult beverages on some sidewalks and commons areas while supporting local businesses and artists. For more information about The Circuit, head here.

Pontiac artist John Dixon will showcase an art glass embellished ’58 Riviera car door sculpture at 31 N. Saginaw. There will be live, interactive painting with Lisa Littell in the Garden Park, and the Pontiac Creative Arts Center will have a gallery Gift Shop at Liberty Bar, anchoring the northern stretch of the Social District. Kresge Fellows, Canvas Pontiac Finalists, and Yaktowns’ own homegrown brands will also be featured in “The Circuit”.

The virtual concert will feature local artists, including Will Black, One Be Lo, as well as, Woodward The Band, and DJ JLG.

Live performances from JLG Media – DJ JLG, United Productions Company introduction of the 10th year celebration of hit song “Switch Hit Resistor” By Woodward The Band (with album release parties) – all located at the south end of The Circuit by Exferimentation Brewing Co.

Come out and enjoy a great, socially distanced evening while supporting Pontiac businesses and artists.
